Three hawk nestlings released after recovering at CROW

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Three nestling red-shouldered hawks were released back into the wild after being admitting to a Sanibel wildlife hospital. The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife said two of the nestlings were found in a parking lot. Veterinarians said they were healthy babies but were underweight. CROW said it was likely their home was destroyed. In just the few short weeks the nestlings were at CROW, they grew into strong juvenile hawks! Two hawk nestlings receive treatment after they were found in a parking lot

SANIBEL-CAPTIVA, Fla.– Two red-shouldered hawk nestlings were found in a parking lot before being taken to a clinic to be treated. CROW veterinarians said said the babies were healthy besides being underweight. Officials said it is likely their home was destroyed. They will recover at CROW until they are back to a healthy weight. Then, staff will re-nest them or find them a foster parent. Feel better, little nestlings!
