6.0 magnitude earthquake strikes near Panama coast
PUNTA DE BURICA, Panama — A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck about 90 miles off the coast of Punta de Burica, Chiriquí, Panama on Thursday morning, officials said. Information from the United States Geological Survey shows that the earthquake’s epicenter is in an area where the Caribbean and North American plates meet.
