Eastern diamondback rattlesnake gets health check-up at Naples Zoo
NAPLES, Fla. — Vet techs and reptile keepers worked together to complete a successful check-up for a venomous resident of the Naples Zoo. Glass Animal Hospital staff used a long, clear tube to put the Eastern diamondback snake under anesthesia. The veterinary team took radiographs of the snake’s body, drew blood, and collected samples for viral testing to figure out the condition of the snake. Officials were happy to announce that the rattlesnake left his check up appointment with a clean bill of health.
