Two men steal from Fort Myers 7-Eleven while employee overdoses

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Fort Myers police are trying to identify two men who stole from a Fort Myers 7-Eleven convenience store while an employee was having an overdose. Officers released images of the two who reportedly committed grand theft from the store, located at 2265 Colonial Boulevard, on February 17, 2021. Investigators said the thieves were seen on store surveillance stealing multiple cases of beer and cigarette cartons, resulting in the business losing about $15,000 in inventory. FORT MYERS, Fla.– The Fort Myers City Council has extended Fort Myers Police Chief Diggs’ contract. The contract was set to expire in August. One injured in shooting on Summerlin Road

FORT MYERS, Fla. — One person was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital after a shooting in Fort Myers, officials said. Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department are investigating the shooting at 5344 Summerlin Road. People should avoid the area as investigators work the scene. Car crashes & flips next to Fort Myers home

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car that crashed into the front of a home on New York Avenue in Fort Myers late Thursday night. Multiple LCSO cruisers were seen at the location where a white sedan flipped and hit a home and at least one other vehicle. NBC2 crews saw a damaged LCSO K9 cruiser at the scene.
