Tourist stranded after strong winds damage glass bridge
LONGJING, China / CNN — Officials are blaming extreme weather for causing a terrifying incident that left one tourist stranded on a glass-bottomed suspension bridge in northeast China on May 7. A photo shared by Chinese state media Xinhua on Chinese social media site Weibo shows a person clinging to the bridge’s railing, surrounded by missing and damaged glass platform panels.
