Officials urge SWFL residents to take precautions to prevent brush fires

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – The dry, hot, and windy weather Southwest Florida is having has increased our wildfire threat. Health Matters: Child Passenger Safety

It’s the leading cause of death in children under the age of 19. “We really stress the importance of buckling up your children, every time, every ride,” said Sally Kreuscher, a child advocacy program coordinator at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Health experts say it’s important to make sure a child’s car seat is the correct size for their height and weight. “Car seats are an extremely important piece to keep kids safe when traveling in the vehicle.
