HILEAH, Fla.– Governor DeSantis signed a bill on Tuesday that will allow for more opportunities for children who come from low-income homes. DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. – Gov. DeSantis appointed two DeSoto County commissioners, his office announced on Monday. Ashley Coone and Jerod Gross will both be joining the board, officials said. Coone is President of Ashley Coone Consulting. Previously, she was executive director of the DeSoto County Chamber of Commerce and co-founded Links2Success, a nonprofit that provides free college and career readiness programs to students in the county.
