BROOKFIELD, Wis. / CNN — Target will temporarily stop selling sports and Pokémon trading cards in their stores after a recent violent incident at one of its locations, officials announced. CNN — A letter written by Albert Einstein that includes the world’s most famous equation is being auctioned off with an estimated value of $400,000. CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The City of Cape Coral is teaming up with Curative to offer coronavirus vaccine to the community. Starting Monday, May 17, people can get a COVID-19 shot at the current testing site located across from City Hall at 1020 Cultural Park Boulevard. NORWALK, Calif. [AP] – A woman might’ve washed her chances at wealth down the drain — literally. The winner of a $26 million California Lottery prize told convenience store workers on Wednesday that she left her ticket in her pants and it was destroyed in the laundry. Ceremonial balloon releases pose major fire risk in Lehigh Acres

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Balloons from your backyard birthday party or graduation celebration could pose a significant brush fire risk, Lehigh Fire Rescue officials said. A mylar balloon recently hit a powerline and started a brush fire. The charred balloons were found at the scene by investigators. Car crashes & flips next to Fort Myers home

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car that crashed into the front of a home on New York Avenue in Fort Myers late Thursday night. Multiple LCSO cruisers were seen at the location where a white sedan flipped and hit a home and at least one other vehicle. NBC2 crews saw a damaged LCSO K9 cruiser at the scene. Collier deputies investigate medical call involving child

NAPLES, Fla.– Collier County deputies responded to a medical call in Golden Gate on Thursday night. Law enforcement arrived to the 2600 block of 52nd Terrace Southwest where there was a medical emergency involving a juvenile. The child was transported to NCH where they were revived. According to officials, the child was then transported to Golisano Children’s Hospital for further treatment. No other information was immediately available at this time. Police officer fired after faking report to get out of a meeting

FRYEBURG, Maine (AP)– A former police officer managed to get out of a meeting but it cost him his job. As reported by the AP, a law enforcement oversight board made the choice to revoke Fryeburg Police Chief Joshua Potvin’s license after it was discovered that he faked a suspicious person report so he could get out of a meeting.
