Gov. DeSantis signs bill making alcohol to-go drinks permanent in Florida
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. [WPTV] – Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill on Thursday morning making alcohol to-go a permanent fixture in Florida. The governor originally signed an executive order during the pandemic allowing alcoholic to-go beverages to help businesses during the 2020 safer at home order. The bill set parameters — the sale of to-go drinks must be cut off either at midnight or when food service ends for the day.
