Trader Joe’s drops mask mandate for fully vaccinated customers

The grocery store Trader Joe’s announced that customers will no longer have to wear a mask if they are fully vaccinated.

“We encourage customers to follow the guidance of health officials, including, as appropriate, CDC guidelines that advise customers who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks while shopping,” the company said on Friday in a statement.

The decision follows the CDC updating their guidelines to be more relaxed for those who are fully vaccinated. People who are unvaccinated should still wear their masks when shopping.
