Forecast: Fire Alert continues as dry conditions remain

It’s another very comfortable start to the day, as humidity remains low.

Unfortunately, due to the humidity remaining low paired with breezy winds and our lack of rain, fire danger is again elevated. Another Fire Alert has been issued for today, so use caution grilling or doing anything that involves an open flame.

Rain chances today are going to be hard to come by, with nothing other than a few isolated showers possible.

Highs will climb into the low 90s this afternoon, making for a warm day, but we won’t be too far off normal for this time of year.

A large area of high pressure will develop just to our north as the week rolls on, which means our rain chances are going to remain isolated at best with temperatures climbing everyday into the upper 80s and low 90s. Unfortunately, this means we may have to get used to running the sprinklers for our lawns as the big change in our forecast is that we no longer expect significant chances for rain for the next week to week and a half.

Keep up with NBC2 as we track any changes over the coming days.
