Missing Collier teen seen with man at Fort Myers Publix

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Collier County deputies are searching for a missing teen last seen at a Fort Myers Publix with an unidentified man. Daisy DeGuzman, 17, recently dyed her hair based on new surveillance photos, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. She was seen inside a Fort Myers Publix with a man, and they were seen leaving in a white SUV. Two men steal from Fort Myers 7-Eleven while employee overdoses

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Fort Myers police are trying to identify two men who stole from a Fort Myers 7-Eleven convenience store while an employee was having an overdose. Officers released images of the two who reportedly committed grand theft from the store, located at 2265 Colonial Boulevard, on February 17, 2021. Investigators said the thieves were seen on store surveillance stealing multiple cases of beer and cigarette cartons, resulting in the business losing about $15,000 in inventory. Puppy found safe after being stolen from Fort Myers pet store

FORT MYERS, Fla.– A puppy that was stolen from a Fort Myers pet store has been found safe, according to law enforcement. Fort Myers police were searching for a man who stole the 9-week-old Shih Tzu. Officers said, “the suspect has been identified and the puppy has been recovered safely.” FMPD confirmed the suspect as 42-year-old William Drumheller of Fort Myers. FORT MYERS, Fla.– The Fort Myers City Council has extended Fort Myers Police Chief Diggs’ contract. The contract was set to expire in August. After a week of downpours and storms, the rainy season will get put on hold today thanks to some drier air moving in from the east.  The drier air combined with a building high over Florida will bring the heat front and center with daytime highs soaring into the mid to upper 90s this afternoon.  Humidity levels will drop slightly today, which will help keep the heat index in check.  Rain chances will be very slim today, but a stray shower or two can’t be ruled out late in the day. One person shot in Immokalee neighborhood

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – One person was shot in an Immokalee neighborhood near 3rd Street and Eustis Avenue Saturday evening. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the person shot was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Crime scene tape is wrapped around a home located at 407 S 3rd Street. Three hawk nestlings released after recovering at CROW

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Three nestling red-shouldered hawks were released back into the wild after being admitting to a Sanibel wildlife hospital. The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife said two of the nestlings were found in a parking lot. Veterinarians said they were healthy babies but were underweight. CROW said it was likely their home was destroyed. In just the few short weeks the nestlings were at CROW, they grew into strong juvenile hawks! NAPLES, Fla. – Naples Mayor Teresa Heitmann hosted a community conversation on Thursday. This comes after two ethics complaints were filed against her.
