One dead in Cape Coral motorcycle crash

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – One person died in a motorcycle crash on Burnt Store Road near Burnt Store Marina Sunday afternoon. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol a motorcycle and a car crashed on Burnt Store Road near Islamorada Blvd leaving one person dead just before 1 p.m.

The Cape Coral Police Department shutdown both directions of Burnt Store Road around the 5000 block while crews investigate. 

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area. 

FHP is still investigating.
