Student driver critically injures father during driving lesson

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A 65-year-old Naples man is in critical condition after an accident while teaching his son how to drive, officials said. The man was teaching his 34-year-old son from Colombia how to drive, specifically how to park, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol said. While being guided into a parking space by his father, who was outside of the vehicle, the son stepped on the gas. The SUV launched over the parking curbs and hit the man, troopers said. Collier deputies investigate medical call involving child

NAPLES, Fla.– Collier County deputies responded to a medical call in Golden Gate on Thursday night. Law enforcement arrived to the 2600 block of 52nd Terrace Southwest where there was a medical emergency involving a juvenile. The child was transported to NCH where they were revived. According to officials, the child was then transported to Golisano Children’s Hospital for further treatment. No other information was immediately available at this time. Collier county rubble pile hidden by fence

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– For the past several months, concrete has piled up on the corner lot of Santa Barbara and Davis Boulevard. Recently, a fence was added to keep the rubble out of sight. Sea turtle buried on Seagate Beach after being hit by boat

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A county worker and another woman jumped into action when a dead green sea turtle washed up on the shore of Seagate Beach Friday morning. Every morning, Gail Turner takes a walk on Seagate Beach. Robber swinging club with nails whacks person on Naples Beach

NAPLES, Fla. — Two people on Naples Beach were robbed by a person with a “stick” or “club” with nails sticking out of it on Friday, police said. Officers with the Naples Police Department responded to reports of an armed burglary near 25 12th Avenue South.
