Tiger spotted roaming Houston neighborhood
HOUSTON, Texas (NBC News)– The Houston Police Department said a tiger was spotted exploring a Houston neighborhood on Sunday.
The big cat was wearing a collar and roaming around outside of a home.
The wild incident was caught on camera by an alarmed neighbor.
In the video the deputy can be seen pointing a gun at the tiger as the animal slowly walks toward him. Then, an unidentified man is seen luring the tiger back onto his property and into the house. He begged the deputy not to shoot the tiger, as reported by NBC News.
The video can be seen HERE.
No one was hurt during the incident. It is not clear at this time if the owner of the animal will face charges.
Texas law allows for the private ownership of “dangerous wild animals” if applicants register with their sheriff and follow caging requirements.
