Warehouse to help St. Matthew’s House better serve SWFL residents in need

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — With just weeks until the start of Hurricane Season, volunteers with St. Matthew’s House are more prepared than ever.

The community help organization was able to get a warehouse that will help them better serve those in need in Southwest Florida.

St. Matt’s officials said summer is their busiest season because kids are out of school and people normally work less. Summertime also means hurricane season.

In the new warehouse, volunteers are gathering goods that many people might need this year. They’re stocking up on water, MRE’s, and other shelf-stable items.

If you’re struggling to put food on the table now, you can go to one of eight food distribution sites this week:
