Eastern diamondback rattlesnake gets health check-up at Naples Zoo

NAPLES, Fla. — Vet techs and reptile keepers worked together to complete a successful check-up for a venomous resident of the Naples Zoo. Glass Animal Hospital staff used a long, clear tube to put the Eastern diamondback snake under anesthesia. The veterinary team took radiographs of the snake’s body, drew blood, and collected samples for viral testing to figure out the condition of the snake. Chick-fil-A is limiting the number of sauces it’s giving out to customers as the chain faces a shortage. The chicken chain said the shortage is due to industry-wide supply chain issues. Florida deputies rescue kitten that hitched ride under patrol car

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Monroe County deputies saved a kitten on Monday after they found it hitching a ride under a deputy’s patrol car. Reports came in just after 9 a.m. of a kitten running close to traffic on the Seven Mile Bridge. Deputy Jonathan Rodriguez responded to the call and found an adult cat that was dead — suspected to be the kitten’s mother — in the road. Woman accused of shooting mom, kidnapping twin babies

SAVANNAH, Ga. [WSAV] – A woman is accused of a shooting a young mom and kidnapping her twin babies on Tuesday morning, according to police. Angela Montgomery, 23, took the 6-week-old boys, Lorenzo and Matto Rogers, after shooting their mother, 23-year-old Gabrielle Rogers, according to the Savannah Police Department [SPD].
