DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. – Gov. DeSantis appointed two DeSoto County commissioners, his office announced on Monday. Ashley Coone and Jerod Gross will both be joining the board, officials said. Woman mistakenly given six doses of Pfizer vaccine

A 23-year-old woman was mistakenly given six doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The woman was administered the vaccine at the Noa hospital in Tuscany, central Italy, on Sunday. She has since been discharged from the hospital where she was being monitored for any adverse reaction, reported CNN. The patient, who is in “good health” with no underlying conditions, was kept in the hospital under strict observation for 24 hours and was discharged Monday, said hospital spokeswoman Daniella Gianelli. SpaceX to accept dogecoin as payment for upcoming moon mission

(CNN) — SpaceX is claiming it will accept dogecoin – a somewhat satirical cryptocurrency – as payment for an upcoming mission. A Canadian company called the Geometric Energy Corporation confirmed that it will pay SpaceX solely in dogecoin in order to secure a spot for an 88-pound satellite on a mission, called Doge-1, slated to take off in early 2022. FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — It’s been 10 months since a 22-year-old man was gunned down on Fort Myers Beach, officials said. SARASOTA, Fla. – A manta ray got up close and personal with a police boat this weekend. A marine patrol boat with the Sarasota Police Department was floating just north of New Pass on the Gulf side when the large ray popped by for a visit.
