NAPLES, Fla. — Two people on Naples Beach were robbed by a person with a “stick” or “club” with nails sticking out of it on Friday, police said. A cyber attack on Friday caused a major U.S.fuel pipeline to temporarily halt operations as officials work to mitigate the threat. A Russian criminal group called DarkSide could be responsible for using ransomware to extort the Colonial Pipeline, which carries fuel from Texas and supplies states across the southeastern US and up to the New York Harbor, NBC News reported. NAPLES, Fla. — A driver lost control and smashed into multiple palm trees on Radio Road Sunday night. Rescue crews with Greater Naples Fire and Collier County EMS responded to the scene near Radio Lane, but no injuries have been reported, UC Breaking News reported. Numerous trees in the median of Radio Road were seen toppled over and the eastbound lanes had to be completely shut down so crews could clear the roadway. For most of us it was a dry and hot Mother’s Day, however some of us picked up much needed rain in the form of afternoon thunderstorms developing along the seabreeze. Today is going to be similar, with a few showers and thunderstorms developing by the afternoon, mainly along and east of I-75. A few showers are also possible in Collier County this morning thanks to isolated pockets of rain near Miami, but the first half of the day will be dry for many of us.
