Robber swinging club with nails whacks person on Naples Beach

NAPLES, Fla. — Two people on Naples Beach were robbed by a person with a “stick” or “club” with nails sticking out of it on Friday, police said. Officers with the Naples Police Department responded to reports of an armed burglary near 25 12th Avenue South. When they arrived at the scene, the two victims and some witnesses were standing with a Pier Guard. Walk-up COVID vaccine appointments accepted as demand drops

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Gone are the days of 3 a.m. alarms just to score a coronavirus vaccine appointment. Now, people can walk into a Publix, CVS or Walgreens in Florida and get a COVID-19 shot. No appointment needed. At Publix, customers can choose from the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Deputies investigate scene on Tice Street

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Law enforcement and rescue crews responded to a scene on Tice Street and Figuera Avenue on Sunday. Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were seen talking with two men at the scene. Lee County EMS and a fire crew also responded. Car mows down palm trees in Naples

NAPLES, Fla. — A driver lost control and smashed into multiple palm trees on Radio Road Sunday night. Rescue crews with Greater Naples Fire and Collier County EMS responded to the scene near Radio Lane, but no injuries have been reported, UC Breaking News reported. Numerous trees in the median of Radio Road were seen toppled over and the eastbound lanes had to be completely shut down so crews could clear the roadway. One dead in Cape Coral motorcycle crash

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – One person died in a motorcycle crash on Burnt Store Road near Burnt Store Marina Sunday afternoon.  According to the Florida Highway Patrol a motorcycle and a car crashed on Burnt Store Road near Islamorada Blvd leaving one person dead just before 1 p.m. The Cape Coral Police Department shutdown both directions of Burnt Store Road around the 5000 block while crews investigate.  Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.  FHP is still investigating.  Count on NBC2 to bring you the latest information as it becomes available.
